A Year in a New Place

          In a few weeks (September 10th to be exact) My Family and I will have been living in Florida for exactly one year, it seems unreal that we’ve already been here that long, and my mind can’t grasp the fact that it’s already almost Fall again, Halloween will be here before I know it, and the Holiday season is much closer than I think. Why is it that time goes by so fast now? I remember when I was little and a year seemed like a lifetime, now it just seems like a few short months fly by and all of the sudden it’s a brand new year. Summer breaks go by much faster than they used to and School years are…….ok, the school year still seems to go by slow, but you get what I’m saying.

     I know the saying “time flies when you’re having fun.” and I guess that’s true, I have had a lot of fun this past year in Florida, I’ve made a lot of new friends, Found a new church (that I love!), Had the best Sweet 16 Party ever, Went to a Jonas Brothers Concert, Saw the new Harry Potter movie 4 times in theaters, Joined a Varsity Basketball Team, Gotten my first Boyfriend, Fell in love with Edward Cullen and went crazy on Twilight stuff with my friends! (but I’mstill Team Jacob), Spent two amazing weeks in GA with my family and my bestie, Went Crazy at Disney World with my Sister and 2 of my Best Friends,  Went on Many Beach trips with my family, Made some pretty awesome videos, Moved completely out of one house and into another in 8 hours (haha, long story), Went on a Wuh Dander too lame to be considered a Wee Dander (haha), Saw My Big Sister Graduate,  Realized that I love Photography, All those late night sleepovers and dance parties with my Sisters, Swimming in the Dark, Duke Games, Watching my new Favorite TV Show “Man vs. Wild”, Mom & Dad blasting music in the car on the way home from the beach, Getting soaked in the rain outside of Pizza Hut, Watching Storms, and so many other memories that I’ve made this first year living in Florida.

Now, I know the years not over yet, but I just wanted to share with all of you some of my best memories that I’ve made my first year living in Central Florida.

A Beach Trip with my Best Friend.

Those Brothers that sing…

If you haven’t guessed by now, I’m talking about the Jonas Brothers, Kevin, Joe and Nick. My older sister and I were lucky enough to get tickets to one of their concerts (thanks to Mom, who was on the exact time they went on sale, while I was at an event for my church.) The concert is tomorrow night, and I am beyond excited. I have to admit that i’m not as obsessed as I used to be, (don’t get me wrong, I’m still a huge fan!) I used to have hundreds (yes, I said hundreds, as in, over 200 posters) of posters on my walls, I was constantly on the Internet reading about what the Jonas Brothers were doing, where they were, who they were being seen with I had binders full of JB articles, I had scrapbooks, and a tape that I recorded every single TV appearance..I spent hundreds of dollars on Tickets, Clothing, Movies, Albums, Autographed Books, Bags and everything you could put the word “Jonas” on, I had it. You could pretty much look up the word Fangirl and get a picture of Me. After being  “obsessed” for about a year and a half, God kinda spoke to me, and I started feeling a little guilty for what I had done, I had Idolized these boys, all I ever thought about was  ‘jonas brothers this…’ ‘jonas brothers that…’ and I actually started putting them before God. One day, I just realised how stupid I was being (nothing against the jonas brothers at all, this was all my fault), and I just prayed and I asked God to forgive me for taking every bit of my time and putting it into something about the jonas brothers, and not giving him any of it, and right after I prayed that I just felt amazing, all the guilt was gone and I told myself right then and there, that I would NEVER let anything come before my God again. I still love the Jonas Brothers, and I’ll be a fan as long as they makemusic, but I’ll never let myself get so obsessed withsomething like I did with the Jonas Brothers ever again. But…..I’m still very excited to be getting to see them for a 4th time tomorrow night (our seats aren’t very close, but someone once said “all seats are good seats at a jonas brothers concert”) and I’ll be posting a pic in my next Post!

Welcome to My Blog!

Hello World!

     Yes, I have decided to start a blog. I thought having a blog would make it easy for me to share my writing, photography, slideshows, and random thoughts with all of you (and I thought it would be pretty fun.) This is also sort of a school project for me, taking writing and adding photography in it and creating a blog for the public to read and see.
